Do you have a favorite MOLN memory so far?
It is still my first year as a MOLN member and Marketing and Communications Committee member. I am looking forward to the spring conference in Rochester on April 25 and 26 to meeting nursing leaders from Minnesota. If you see me, come say “hi!”
How do you cope with the demanding aspects of your career?
How does one eat an elephant? One bite at a time.
Who inspires you?
My dad inspires me. I didn’t have a direct path into nursing after high school. He knew that my plan was to become a nurse and continued to support me. The statement he would always say was “You have a goal. Stick to it.” I continue to set goals for myself and stick to them until I achieve them.
What is something that not many people know about you?
FewI love being outside whether that’s in my flower or vegetable garden or camping. My crocuses are up and hyacinths are starting to bloom. My wife and my wedding vows to each other were to go to all 65 Minnesota State Parks. So far we’ve gone to 26!
